A new chief administrative officer has been hired for the Town of Mulgrave.
Jim Davis was announced as the selected candidate at November’s town council meeting Monday night.
He says he brings 37 years of municipal government experience to the table, including 28 as director of finance for the Town of Port Hawkesbury.
Davis tells The Hawk things will get busy in January.
“When the New Year comes, we’ll start to get into development of operating budgets and capital budgets,” he says. “They show you the direction that the municipal unit of Mulgrave will be taking.”
Davis says he’ll have to familiarize himself with the goals and objectives of councillors in the meantime.
He is taking the role from Kevin Matheson, who has served as the town’s interim CAO for about two years.
Davis says Matheson has been a big help during the transition process.
