A man arrested following a hit-and-run in Port Hawkesbury is scheduled to make his first court appearance in the case Monday.
RCMP say officers were called to a hit-and-run in the parking lot of the Causeway Shopping Centre at roughly 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
They say a 26-year-old Port Hawkesbury man, who was treated by paramedics at the scene, suffered minor injuries.
Police say the driver fled, but they later arrested Forest Douglas Baker, 21, of Port Hawkesbury.
They say Baker faces five charges- dangerous driving causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, failing to remain at the scene and impaired driving.
He remains in custody, and is expected in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Monday morning; The Hawk will be there.
