The Cape Breton West islanders will try to take a commanding 3-1 series when they visit the Cape Breton Tradesmen in the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League playoffs.

Game time is 7:15 p.m.
A Cape Breton West win means they have a chance to advance to the league semi-finals when the series returns to Port Hood for game five Saturday night.
The SAERC Saints and Richmond Academy Hurricanes play the second game of their first-round, two-game total goal series in the Cape Breton West High School Hockey League playoffs.
The teams played to a 2-2 tie in Port Hawkesbury Wednesday night.

The Cape Breton Highlands Academy/NDA Huskies play their second game in as many nights when they visit the Eskasoni Warriors.
The Huskies, coming off a 4-3 overtime win against league-leading Dalbrae in Port Hood Wednesday night, are locked into second place in the six-team league, which means they have a first-round playoff bye; the Warriors will finish fifth, and face Inverness/Baddeck Academy in the opening round.
Game time is 7 p.m.
The make-up game is the final game of the regular season.
