A suspect charged in relation to a drug bust in Port Hawkesbury has elected to be tried in Nova Scotia Supreme Court.
RCMP say they searched a home in the town, and seized oxycodone, marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia in July.
Darlene Bowen, 54, has been charged with possession of oxycodone and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Bowen elected a Nova Scotia Supreme Court trial by judge-and-jury during an election-and-plea hearing Monday, and is scheduled to return to Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court for a preliminary inquiry May 22.
A man, 54, arrested in the bust was not charged.
