A man arrested after a traffic stop in Inverness Co. has had a trial date set.
RCMP say officers conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 104 in Port Hastings in August.
They say they searched a vehicle, and found dexamphetamine, codeine, other drug paraphernalia and brass knuckles.
Sean Dale Simon, 36, of Port Hawkesbury has been charged with a pair of possession for the purpose of trafficking counts, two weapons-related offences and three breaches.
Simon, who made his first court appearance in the case shortly after his arrest and was released on conditions, was last in court for preliminary inquiry on the drug charges April 12.
He had a Jan. 30 trial date set, which is for a charter hearing as part of his trial, on those drug counts in Nova Scotia Supreme Court in Port Hawkesbury Friday; the balance of his trial is expected to take place March 12.
Simon is scheduled to have a trial date set on the weapons counts and breaches July 30.
