A Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation store in the Quad Counties is one of three new locations that will sell cannabis.
Officials with the provincial government have announced the additional NSLC locations will have marijuana for sale; construction of the new locations is expected to be completed in the fall.
Cannabis is expected to become legal in the summer.
The locations are in Antigonish, New Minas and Bridgewater.
Provincial officials announced nine NSLC stores would sell cannabis in January; at that time, there were no locations between New Glasgow and Sydney River.
They say the three additions will provide greater access to the legal market for residents.
