The Novas have presented their year-end awards.
Team officials held their annual awards banquet in Port Hastings Monday night.
Dylan Chishom was named most valuable player, Kenzie MacPhail was playoff MVP, and Jacob Cook was rookie of the year; Trey Sturge and Luke Gould shared the top scorer award.
Kier Jordan was named the team’s top defensive player, Brandon Connors earned the most improved player award, and Charlie Leblanc was the unsung hero.
The Western Hurricanes swept the Novas in two games in the opening round of the Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League playoffs in March.
