The case of a suspect charged in relation to a drug bust in Port Hawkesbury has been adjourned.
Dexter Brett Sutherland, 27, of Port Hawkesbury faces four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and two breaches.
RCMP say they stopped two vehicles for a traffic infraction on Embree Island Rd. in Jan. 2017.
They say officers seized cocaine, oxycodone and marijuana.
Sutherland was expected to make an application on the drug charges in Nova Scotia Supreme Court in Port Hawkesbury, but Thursday’s hearing didn’t go ahead; he’s expected back in court to stand trial May 10.
He’s scheduled for election-and-plea on his breaches in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court May 28; that hearing was adjourned in September.
