The warden of Inverness Co. says recent federal funding provided for Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs reps will mean a lot, and bring visitors to the area.
Federal government officials announced a $2,000,000 repayable contribution last week.
They said the money would go towards high-end culinary services, a tennis court and spa facilities; 50 new jobs would be created.
Betty Ann MacQuarrie, the county’s warden, tells The Hawk it’s pleasing to see employment opportunities in the area.
“In a place with high unemployment, of course it’s going to mean a lot for the area,” she says. “I don’t just mean Inverness, because there will be people hired on from all around the county and beyond, from the bordering counties as well.”
MacQuarrie says the upgrades will just enhance the services already provided.
