Members of the Port Hawkesbury Antigonish Swim Team hosted the 2018 Provincial Junior Championship in Antigonish.
170 swimmers from 10 teams across the province took part in the event, which got underway Friday and wrapped up Sunday.
Several PHAST swimmers found the podium, including a number of gold medal winners.
Elena Barzanti finished first in the 200m freestyle, Joshua Elsworth earned top spot in the 200m and 400m freestyle, Cein Kennedy won gold in the 200m backstroke, and Jessica MacKinnon was first in the 100m backstroke.
Colleen MacLeod earned gold in the 50m and 100m freestyle, Alex Penner finished in top spot in the 50m butterfly, Matthew Penner was first in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke and 200m IM.
The men’s relay team squad had two first-place finishes, while the women’s team had one first-place finish.
