There’s a double-header in the Richmond Amateur Baseball Association.
The Inverness Athletics host the St. Peter’s Royals in a match-up of teams at opposite ends of the standings in the six-team league.
The Athletics (6-2) are in top spot, a half-game up on second-place Isle Madame; the Royals (3-6) are tied with Petit-de-Grat for fifth, a half-game back of Port Hawkesbury for fourth.
It’s the last regular season action in the four-game season series between the teams; Inverness swept a double-header in St. Peter’s to open the season in June.
The first game in the twin bill at Veterans’ Memorial Ballfield in Inverness is 1 p.m.
One local team is in action in the Highland Soccer League.
Highland FC hosts Halifax City in Antigonish in the U13AA girls division.
Highland FC (1-4-1) is fifth in the six-team division with four points, four points behind Halifax City (2-2-2) for fourth, and four points ahead of last-place Cape Breton.
