A local emergency department will shut down for a few days.
Nova Scotia Health Authority officials say the ER at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston will close at 7 a.m. Saturday; it will re-open at 8 a.m. Monday.
They say it will also be closed from 7 a.m. Wednesday until 8 a.m. Thursday.
Health authority officials say physician unavailability to cover the shifts is the reason for the closures.
You’re asked to go to another ER or call 911 with a medical emergency; you can call 811 for any non-urgent issues.
