The warden of Richmond Co. says they are doing what they can to help out with the ER closures at the Strait Richmond Hospital.
Jason MacLean says they have no plans on closing the file.
The hospital emergency room often faces closures due to physician unavailability.
After Tuesday night’s regular council meeting MacLean said they’re trying to find their place to help in it all.
“We sort of struggle to really find our way with physician recruitment committee and what role we’re supposed to play,” he says. “I know that it’s been something that we’ve been kind of looking for some direction from the province- it’s just such a difficult thing.”
MacLean said the process is really complicated.
He said he hopes they hope to help in whatever way they can.
