A suspect charged in relation to a fight a local high school has entered a not guilty plea.
SAERC officials say an incident involving four students and a parent took place at the school in May.
RCMP charged four people in total- April Jamieson, 37, Cailey Jamieson, 18, and two other young people who can’t be identified because of their age.
Another woman was served notice to stay away from the school.
Cailey Jamieson, who faces one count of causing a disturbance by fighting, pleaded not guilty during an election-and-plea hearing in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Monday; she’s scheduled to stand trial March 7.
One of the two young people who can’t be identified faces the same charge, and had her case referred to the province’s Restorative Justice Program Monday; she’s expected back in court for a status update Jan. 28.
April Jamieson, who has been charged with two counts of assault, has entered not guilty pleas in the case, and is scheduled to stand trial Feb. 20.
The other teen who can’t be identified, who’s been charged with assault, has also been referred to Restorative Justice Program, and is expected back for a status update Dec. 17.
