The X-Men are in Wolfville to take on the Acadia Axemen.
StFX (11-8-3) has won two of the last three to sit tied with Moncton for third in the seven-team conference with 25 points, six points behind Saint Mary’s for second, and a point ahead of fifth-place UPEI; Acadia (5-15-2) is tied for sixth with 12 points.
The X-Men have won two of the first three games in the five-game season series.

The Inverness-Baddeck Academy Rebels host the SAERC Saints in the Cape Breton West High School Hockey League.
It’s the third game in as many nights for the Saints (7-2-1), who beat Eskasoni at home Wednesday night, then Richmond Academy in Louisdale Thursday night; they’re second in the five-team league with 20 points, three points behind Richmond Academy for top spot, and three points ahead of the third-place Rebels (6-3-0).
The teams have split the first two games in the four-game season series.
Puck drop at the Dr. Bernie MacLean Cultural and Recreation Centre in Inverness is 7:30 p.m.
The province’s two Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams are on home ice for the second half of home-and-home series against New Brunswick opponents.
St. Andrews’ Declan Smith and the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles host Pleasant Valley’s Jacob Hudson, Antigonish’s Jake and Sean Stewart and the Moncton Wildcats at Centre 200 in Sydney.
The Wildcats won the first game of their home-and-home 4-3 in Moncton Wednesday night.
The Screaming Eagles (26-15-3), winners of three of their last four, are tied with Rimouski for seventh in the 18-team league with 55 points, a point behind Charlottetown for sixth, and four points ahead of ninth-place Chicoutimi; the Wildcats (26-14-5) are fifth with 57 points.
Cape Breton has a 3-2 edge through the first five games of the nine-game season series.
The Halifax Mooseheads host the Acadie-Bathurst Titan at Scotiabank Centre.
The Mooseheads (30-10-3), who won the first home-and-home game between the teams 4-1 in Bathurst Wednesday night, their first win in three games, are fourth with 63 points, two points behind Baie-Comeau for third, and six points ahead of fifth-place Moncton; the Titan (7-34-2) are last with 16 points.
Halifax, ranked eighth in the country, has won the first six games in their season series.
Both games get underway at 7 p.m.
The teams switch opponents Saturday night; Cape Breton will host Acadie-Bathurst and Halifax will host Moncton.

The X-Men (3-7), who have lost four straight, are tied with Memorial for sixth in the eight-team conference with eight points, two points behind Acadia for fifth, and two points ahead of the last-place Panthers (3-7).
The winless X-Women (0-10) are last in their eight-team conference, four points behind Saint Mary’s for seventh; the Panthers (9-1) are second with 22 points.
These are the first conference games between the teams; both are worth four points in the standings.
The women tip off at 6 p.m.; the men get underway at 8 p.m.
The SAERC Saints are hosting a boys basketball tournament in Port Hawkesbury.
Play in the four-team tournament gets underway when SAERC hosts Richmond Academy at 3 p.m.
Dalbrae takes on Cabot at 5 p.m.
The round-robin wraps up Saturday; the championship game is 5 p.m.
