A suspect facing drug charges following a five-month investigation is scheduled to return to court in September.
Police say members of the Inverness-Richmond RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit searched a home in Port Hawkesbury in May 2018.
They say officers seized a significant amount of cocaine, as well as marijuana and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Morgan Wallace Stark, 25, of Troy, Adam Chester Stark, 28, of Port Hawkesbury and Jonathan Edward Nicholson, 31, of Port Hawkesbury face a total of 16 drug-related charges in the case.
They elected a Nova Scotia Supreme Court judge-and-jury trial during an election-and-plea hearing in October; all three had preliminary inquiries, which determines if there’s enough evidence to send a case to trial, in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court in March.
Morgan Stark was expected to have a date set for his trial in Nova Scotia Supreme Court in Port Hawkesbury Friday; instead, his hearing was adjourned until Sept. 13.
Adam Stark and Jonathan Nicholson are expected to resume their preliminary hearings Aug. 6.
