Stabbing suspect's preliminary inquiry adjourned

The preliminary inquiry for a man arrested following a stabbing on the Afton reserve has been postponed.

Jason Scott Marshall was scheduled to start his preliminary inquiry in Antigonish Tuesday, but it was adjourned until April 15.

The 35-year-old Truro man faces aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and breach of probation charges.

Police arrested Marshall after a man was stabbed multiple times on the Paq'tnkek First Nation back in July.

He elected trial by Nova Scotia Supreme Court judge and jury on the assault charges back in October.
