Sherbrooke RCMP are investigating after an unmanned sail boat turned up in Port Bickerton.
Police say the Coast Guard received a call that the red and white, 12-foot sail boat was adrift in the ocean around 5 a.m. Wednesday.
No one was around, and there were no missing person reports.
Investigators say it appears the boat was in the water for a while; two oars were tied up inside.
They say a 24-hour drift pattern suggests the boat's owner is local to Guysborough Co.; the distance ranges from Liscomb to Port Bickerton.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
