Mulgrave man pleads guilty to a child porn charge

A 33-year-old Mulgrave man facing a child porn charge has pleaded guilty.
Police charged Joseph Harris Simpson with possession of child pornography after Inverness and Richmond RCMP searched a Mulgrave home back in June 2009.
At the time, police said they were concerned because the bust was so close to Mulgrave Memorial Education Centre.
Simpson had elected trial by Supreme Court judge and jury and his trial was set for October.
He entered a guilty plea during a pre-trial conference in a Port Hawkesbury courtroom this week.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for October 6.
