Pirates take on Blues in NSJHL action

The Strait Pirates are right back at it Friday night.

The Pirates host the Cumberland County Blues in Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League action at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre.

The Blues are fourth in the Sid Rowe division; the Pirates are first, three points up on second-place Antigonish.

Head Coach Tim MacMillan tells The Hawk the Blues' top line of Jordie Shaw, Geoff Burke and Zach Carson will require a lot of attention.

"That won't be the only story in the game because Cumberland added a few more decent players just before Christmas, they gave us a really good game last time," he says. "It isn't just about one line, but that is the top scoring line in the league."

Game time is 7:30 p.m.; you can get period-by-period updates on The Hawk.

The Pirates are coming off a win against Glace Bay in a make-up game at the Civic Centre Thursday night.
