Port Hawkesbury man facing assault, harassment charges scheduled for court appearance

A man from Port Hawkesbury charged with assault and other offences is expected to return to court Monday.

Police arrested Josh Nicholson, 30, following an incident Christmas Eve.

Nicholson is scheduled for election-and-plea in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on charges of assault, criminal harassment, two counts of break-and-enter with intent and a firearms offence Monday; the hearing was adjourned because his lawyer wasn't able to be in court in January.

He was sentenced to 90 days in jail and six months of probation after he pleaded guilty to assault with a weapon in relation to a bear spray incident in Port Hawkesbury in 2012.
