NS College of Paramedics council to include two local members

Two local paramedics will be part of a council that will govern the province's brand-new College of Paramedics.

Tanya Snow of Mulgrave will have a three-year term, while Paul Landriault of Port Hawkesbury will serve two years.

They will be joined on the council by six other paramedics, three public members, and representatives from Emergency Health Services, the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia, and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.

The College of Paramedics will come into effect as the regulatory body for the province's 1400-plus paramedics on Saturday.
