We'koqma'q drug bust suspect has trial date set

A suspect from an Inverness Co. drug bust will return to court for trial.

Rachel Phillips, 45, of We'koqma'q, faces counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and cultivation of marijuana.

She was expected for an election-and-plea hearing in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Thursday; she plead not guilty.

RCMP say officers seized marijuana, oxycodone tablets, drug paraphernalia and cash when they searched a We'koqma'q home in February of last year.

She's expected to return to stand trial November 8th.
