Police release more information following Antigonish Co. death

RCMP have provided more details in the death of a man in Antigonish Co.

They say a Havre Boucher man, 65, told his family members he was going fishing at 4 p.m. Tuesday; he didn't come home that night.

Police say members of his family found his truck submerged in roughly 15 feet of water at the end of the wharf in Havre Boucher at roughly 12 p.m. Wednesday.

They say the man's body was in the truck, and both were recovered at roughly 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Members of the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team and Havre Boucher Volunteer Fire Department also responded.

RCMP say an autopsy is being done, but foul play is not suspected.

They say they continue to investigate.
