The Cape Breton West Islanders visit Dartmouth in their only game of the weekend in the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League.

The Islanders (15-5-0), who have won six of their last seven, are third in the eight-team league with 30 points, a point back of Halifax for second, and three points behind Dartmouth (16-4-1) for top spot.

The Novas are home for a pair of games in the Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League.

They host the Bedford Barons.

The Novas (6-11-1), losers of three of their last four, are tied with the Cougars for ninth in the 12-team league with 13 points, three points behind Cole Harbour for eighth, and seven points up on Kings and Dartmouth, who are tied for 11th; the Barons (9-8-1) are tied for fifth with 19 points.
