The new MLA for Antigonish has officially been sworn-in.

Moe Smith's swearing in ceremony took place at Province House Monday.

Smith is the first New Democrat to represent Antigonish in the provincial legislature.

He replaces former MLA Angus MacIsaac.

Meanwhile, the swearing-in ceremony for the new MLA of Inverness is still up in the air.

Tory Allan MacMaster beat Liberal Ian McNeil by 50 votes 13 days ago.

McNeil has asked for a recount anda swearing-in ceremony will be held when that process is finished.
