The CAO for Inverness County says the municipality's water should be up to provincial standards in another month or 2.

The standards were set in 2002 and municipalities had until April 2008 to meet them.

Inverness County CAO Joe O'Connor says crews are finishing upgrades in Mabou then they'll work on Judique.

He says the work should be done by the end of the year, or possibly into January.

O'Connor says the water is safe even though it isn't quite up to provincial standards.
