The Guysborough Antigonish Strait Health Authority is putting a restriction on hospital visits.

Because of an increase of flu in local communities only immediate family will be able to visit patients staying in the five district hospitals.

Those hospitals include; Saint Martha's, Strait Richmond, Eastern Memorial, Guysborough Memorial and Saint Mary's Memorial.

GASHA says the restrictions are only temporary and will notify you of any changes.

They also say you shouldn't visit if you are sick.
