GASHA has opened another flu assessment centre.

This centre is at the Strait Richmond Hospital.

It's the health authority's 2nd assessment centre so far, the first opened at the Clare Marie gathering place next to Saint Martha's last week.

Both centres are open from 1 to 7 PM for anyone who is experiencing flu-like symptoms.

The idea is to cut down on the number of people going to emergency rooms.

The centres are for assessments only and you can't get an H1N1 vaccination at those locations.
