There was some swift action against a Halifax-area man charged in connection with a theft at a business in St. Peter's.
32-year-old Andrew Benn of Sackville was charged with theft, possession of stolen property and breach of undertakings after Tuesday's incident.
Police say 2 men stole a number of items from the business and took off toward Port Hawkesbury.
Officers arrested 2 men shortly after and seized their vehicle.
Benn was handed 2 consecutive sentences of 30 days for the theft and breach charges after he pleaded guilty in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Wednesday.
The possession charge was withdrawn.
