The new MLA for Inverness will officially be sworn in next Wednesday.

Tory Allan MacMaster's ceremony will be held at province house.

MacMaster finished 54 votes ahead of Liberal Ian McNeil in the October by-election to replace former MLA Rodney MacDonald.

His swearing-in was delayed after McNeil asked for an official recount.
