A Richmond Co. man is dead after he fell at a construction site in the Halifax area.

Craig McNamara, 27, was working on a new home in Bedford when he fell at least six metres and hit his head on a rock Thursday morning.

He was rushed to the QE2, where he died of serious head injuries that evening.

The provincial labour department is investigating.
