Radio has been in my blood for as long as I can remember. My earliest memories come from when I was 5 or 6 and had a radio station in my bedroom where I would record myself introducing songs and making commercials. I was even known to have my babysitter as a special guest on the “Trading Post”.
My first radio show with an actual audience was on the long weekend of May 1992 on 1410 CIGO where I was playing Today’s Hits and Yesterday’s Favorites before I was old enough to have my driver’s license! Since that time I have always kept my foot in radio by working at least part time at the local station wherever life took me at the time.
These days I am back in the Quad Counties working as an Advanced Care Paramedic with EHS and of course making the odd appearance here on air and on various commercials that I record from my Antigonish home in my bedroom turned radio studio.
Hmmmm…. funny how history repeats itself.
