The mayor of Mulgrave says their new chief administrative officer has been a big plus for the town.
Jim Davis replaced Kevin Matheson as the town’s CAO last month.
He has 37 years of municipal government experience, including 28 years as director of finance for the Town of Port Hawkesbury.
After Monday night’s regular town council meeting, Ralph Hadley, the mayor of Mulgrave, told The Hawk they’re very pleased with how things have been going so far.
“We’ve got a really good CAO there; very well-educated,” he said. “Very well-up-to-date with what’s going on in the Strait area and the Town of Mulgrave.”
Hadley said Davis’ position is not full-time- he’s working three or four days a week.
He said it’s a two-year contract; Davis will consider a third year when the time comes.
