A teen from Guysborough Co. arrested after Sherbrooke RCMP responded to a knife threat on a school bus is scheduled to make his first court appearance in the case Wednesday.
Police say they were called when four students were threatened with a knife on a bus to St. Mary’s Education Centre/Academy in October.
They say no one was hurt; the knife in question was a folding utility knife.
A boy, 16, who can’t be identified because of his age, has been charged with assault with a weapon.
He’s scheduled for an arraignment hearing in youth court in Antigonish; the matter is expected to be referred to the province’s Restorative Justice program.
