Some activity will be coming to the sky in the Quad Counties in the spring.
Officials with the Port Hawkesbury Airport say they’re hosting Air Show Cape Breton May 30.
Dave Morgan, the president of Celtic Air Services, says they believe this is the first time members of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds Air Demonstration Team will perform in the area.
Morgan tells The Hawk it will have a big impact on the local economy.
“It’s a big boost with hotel rooms and rental cars, all kinds of different services- restaurants and folks taking part in hosting guests that are coming to visit.”
Morgan says it’s a big source of pride for members of the community- an air show isn’t something you can see every day.
He says more information will be coming regarding the event.
