Strait Regional School Board officials say this year’s WE Day was a success from the local perspective.
They say students were unable to make the event due to weather last year, so they were pleased to send nearly 400 students this year.
Paul Landry, Director of Operations, says lots of planning and commitment went in to the event to make sure things were organized.
After Wednesday night’s regular board meeting, Landry said it’s an important opportunity for students.
“Students are always very positive about attendance at the event,” he said. “They have world-class speakers who participate in the event, world-class performers- all in the name of children and students giving back to their communities.”
Landry said they had tremendous support, and they’re pleased everyone made it home safe.
