Councillors in the Municipality of the District of Guysborough have thrown their support behind a plan to improve internet service in the area.
A motion to send a letter of support to members of the CRTC passed unanimously at Wednesday’s regular municipal council meeting.
After the meeting, Vernon Pitts, warden, said it was a no-brainer.
“There’s going to be some more bandwidth issued to various users, or shall we say suppliers of the service,” he says. “Seaside has requested that we supported their application; the only way we hope to have enhanced service is- they (have) to get more bandwidth.”
Pitts said the plan is important because Seaside serves more than 700 residents in the municipality.
