It’s another storm day in the Quad Counties.
Officials with the Strait Regional School Board have announced a system shutdown due to widespread power outages; all schools and board offices will remain closed for the day.
Ecole Beau-Port in Arichat, Ecole Acadienne de Pomquet, Waycobah First Nation School, Allan Lafford High School in Potlotek and NSCC Strait Area Campus and the Wagmatcook Learning Centre are also closed.
Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board officials have also cancelled classes for the second day in a row; Cape Breton University is closed for the morning, with university officials re-assessing at 11:30 a.m.
There are still numerous power outages across the Quad Counties, and the entire province.
