A woman from the Quad Counties is one of two new Crown attorneys officials with the provincial government have appointed to focus on sexual assault prosecutions.
Constance MacIsaac and Danielle Fostey will provide specialized training to other Crowns and develop resources in that area of law, including legal briefs and research.
They’ll also develop measures to monitor Crown attorney performance in the prosecution of sexual violence cases.
MacIsaac, of Port Hawkesbury, graduated from UNB in 1998 and from Dalhousie’s school of law in 2010.
She articled with EMM Law in Port Hawkesbury and joined the Dartmouth Office of Nova Scotia Legal Aid in 2011.
