Adam Stevens goal with 47 seconds left in overtime has sent the StFX men’s hockey team to the Championship Game against the Alberta Golden Bears at the University Cup in Fredericton.
The X-Men, seeded fifth in the eight-team tournament, downed the top-ranked UNB Varsity Reds 5-4 in overtime in Saturday’s first semi-final.
StFX beat Brock 6-2 in the quarter-finals Thursday.

StFX X-Women will play Montreal in the consolation game at the 2018 U Sports Women’s Hockey Championship in London, Ont.
The X-Women lost their opening game to Concordia on Friday and went on to defeat Queen’s in overtime in the consolation semi-final Saturday.

The Cape Breton West Midget AA’s are playing for gold against and unnamed opponent while the Antigonish Midget A Bulldogs play Glace Bay at 1:30.
The Cape Breton West Atom A’s have also advanced to the Gold Medal game and will take on Cape Breton County in the morning.
The Cape Breton West Peewee A’s will also see a morning Championship game when they meet Ripe Tide White.
With a record of one win and two ties the Antigonish Midget AA Bulldogs have advanced to the Championship game of the Canadian Cup being played in Montreal.
The Bulldogs will play Vermont at 11:15.
