Two people facing drug charges following a traffic stop in Inverness Co. are scheduled to return to court Tuesday.
RCMP say members of the Inverness-Richmond District Street Crime Enforcement Unit laid the charges after they stopped a car on Rte. 19 in Port Hastings in June.
They say they arrested an Antigonish man and a Port Hastings woman after they seized roughly 50 grams of cocaine.
Police originally charged Gabriel Chaisson, 41, and Carol Taylor, 41, with trafficking cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
The pair, who made their first appearance in the case the day after their arrests, were expected for sentencing in February; those hearings were adjourned.
Chaisson is scheduled for an election-and-plea hearing in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court; Taylor has an application hearing.
