Four females, including two youths, have been charged following a fight at SAERC last week.
Rob Allen, the school’s principal, sent a letter to parents and guardians describing an incident, which involved four students and an adult, that took place around lunchtime on May 16th, but did not elaborate on the nature of it.
Police say no one can be identified due to the fact that youths are involved and releasing names of the adults could identify the two youths due to their relationship.
Inverness District RCMP say all four individuals are from Port Hawkesbury; a youth and an adult are charged with causing a disturbance by fighting.
They say the other adult has been charged with two counts of assault; the other youth faces one count of the same charge.
RCMP say one female adult, who is also from the town, has been served notice to not go near the school property.
Police say the four individuals are due in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court to face the charges Aug. 27.
