It’s the first night for Festival Antigonish Summer Theatre (FAST).
The main stage series, which has expanded from three shows to four this season, returns.
FAST Artistic Director Andrea Boyd tells The Hawk the Norm Foster Comedy, Lunenburg, kicks things off Wednesday night.
“(It’s) a lovely story of a widow who discovers that her husband, who has recently died, owned a house in Lunenburg,” she says. “She and her best friend come up to explore that (to) find out what that was all about; it’s really lovely and charming and funny and poignant.”
Show time is 8 p.m.; there was a preview performance Tuesday night.
Being Hank and Patsy opens next Thursday, while Burnin’ Love starts the following week; Hope and Gravity debuts in August.
Big Sister, Little Brother opens on the family stage July 24.
