A Port Hawkesbury woman charged this week with Trafficking Oxycodone is scheduled for another court appearance.
According to RCMP, 54 year-old Darlene Lorraine Bowen, of Embree Island in Port Hawkesbury was one of two women charged with drug trafficking in Port Hawkesbury and Antigonish.
They say members of the Inverness-Richmond County Street Crime Enforcement Unit made the arrests on Tuesday as a result of a seven month opioid trafficking investigation in the Port Hawkesbury area.
In addition to Bowen, Carol Bouchie, 47 of Aulds Cove was charged with two counts of Trafficking Oxycodone and two counts of Trafficking Hydromorphone.
Bouchie was released and is scheduled to appear in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on September 18th.
Bowen was remanded and is scheduled to appear in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Thursday.
