A Shubenacadie man charged following a vehicle checkpoint in Inverness Co. has had his case adjourned.
RCMP say they laid drug charges after officers found cocaine, marijuana, cash and drug paraphernalia in a vehicle in Mabou in Sept. 2017.
Dwight Barkhouse, 35, faces counts of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and marijuana possession.
The preliminary inquiry for Barkhouse, who has elected a Nova Scotia Supreme Court trial by judge and jury, got underway in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court in March.
The hearing was scheduled to resume Tuesday; it was adjourned until Jan. 15.
