The StFX men’s football team hosts a match-up of the top two teams in the AUS conference.
The X-Men take on the Saint Mary’s Huskies in the annual homecoming game.
Saint Mary’s (4-0), who has a perfect record and is ranked seventh in the country, sits a game up on StFX (3-1), who are a game up on third-place Acadia.
It’s the second and final regular season game between the teams- Saint Mary’s beat StFX 20-13 in the season opener in Halifax in August.
Gary Waterman, the X-Men’s head coach, tells The Hawk they need a better performance this time around if they want to knock off the top team in the conference.
“Week 1 we played them, we had just some bad, (untimely) penalties, undisciplined penalties, and we had some mistakes in terms of substitutions and stuff,” he says. “We’ve got to correct that- we know they’ve gotten better, too.”
Kick off at Oland Stadium in Antigonish is 2 p.m.
