The Antigonish Bulldogs host the Sackville Blazers in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League.
The Bulldogs (3-1-0), coming off their first loss after three straight wins to start the 2018-19 season, are second in the Sid Rowe Division with six points, two points behind the first-place Pirates, and a point ahead of the third-place Miners.
The Blazers (4-2-0) are tied with East Hants for top spot in the Fred Fox Division with eight points.
Dave Synishin, Antigonish’s head coach, tells The Hawk several factors are working in their favour right now.
“We’re more consistent up front- I think we have a lot we can throw at teams up front, and those guys are starting to get more comfortable the more they play in the league,” he says. “(We’re) certainly better defensively- our goals against is one of the lowest in the league right now (and) if we can keep that where it is, then hopefully we’ll have some success.”
Puck drop at the Antigonish Arena is 7:30 p.m.
The Bulldogs visit Eskasoni Sunday afternoon.
