The Strait Pirates return to home ice to host the Valley Maple Leafs in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League.
The Pirates (4-1-0), who lost their first game of the 2018-19 season in East Hants Friday night after opening with four straight wins, lead the Sid Rowe Division with eight points, two points up on second-place Antigonish.
The Maple Leafs (3-1-0) are third in the Fred Fox Division with six points.
Taylor Lambke, the Pirates’ head coach, tells The Hawk they’ll be a tough opponent.
“They’re a fast team, very skilled up front, similar to ourselves,” he says. “They’re going to be hard-working, they’re going to be hungry for a win- it’s going to be a tough test.”
It’s the Pirates’ only game of the weekend.
Puck drop at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre is 7:30 p.m.
