The Northern Selects have a pair of weekend games in New Brunswick in the Nova Scotia Female Midget AAA Hockey League.
They visit the Fundy Nationals in Saint John.
The Selects (2-0-1) are undefeated to start the 2018-19 season; it’s the Nationals’ (0-0-0) first league action of the regular season.
That game gets underway at 1:15 p.m.
The teams meet again Sunday morning.
The Novas are on home ice for a pair of games in the Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League.
They host the Bedford Barons.
The Novas (2-2-0), who have won back-to-back games after back-to-back losses to start the season, are tied with Pictou Co. for seventh in the 12-team league with four points, a point behind East Hants for sixth, and a point ahead of ninth-place Bedford (1-2-1).

The StFX women’s hockey team plays their second game in as many nights to open their 2018-19 AUS season.
The X-Women, ranked fourth in the country, kicked off the season with a home loss against Dalhousie in Antigonish Friday night; they visit the Moncton Blue Eagles, who are playing their first game of the season.

The Richmond Academy Hurricanes are hosting NSSAF Div. 2 baseball provincials.
The four-team tournament will be played in Louisdale and Petit-de-Grat.
